About Our Auction
Literary Legends is the Friends and Foundation of Albany Public Library’s most important fundraiser, recognizing the area’s significant authors and writers, and raising funds to promote literacy in all its forms within our city.
Our silent auction offers gift certificates from businesses for goods, services, or experiences; "one-day getaway baskets" to towns within one hour of Albany; and signed books and literary ephemera.
Literary Legends provides General Operating Support for FFAPL, providing for our personnel and business expenses, as well as providing funds for matching grants, special initiatives, and the Art at APL exhibition program.
About Friends & Foundation of Albany Public Library
The Friends and Foundation of Albany Public Library (FFAPL) provides critical financial support to the Albany Public Library in order to help the Library provide education, literacy, career development, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning.
