2020 Lovin' Louis Purse Auction

The Rotary Club of Newcastle is thrilled to announce our 8th Annual Purse Auction - “Lovin’ Louis with the Rotary Club of Newcastle” . This year’s event will be held as an Online Auction & takes place from 5:00 PM Oct 23, 2020 to 5:00 PM Oct 30, 2020 and concluding with a Facebook live event being held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 6:30 PM. This auction will feature a spectacular variety of purses, gift baskets, jewellery & gift certificates.
Winners of the online auction items, the lucky 50/50 ticket holder along with doorprize draws plus our new Ticket Lottery draw for the Grand Prize of a Louis Vuitton Purse valued at $1560.00 will be announced!!!!
As this is our 1 and only fundraiser in 2020, we are striving to make it one of the best!! This year Rotary will donate $2500 to a local charity to be selected from the voting results of a public Facebook poll directly by members of our community to 1 of 5 Miramichi charities with the remaining funds raised going to future Rotary projects.

Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community’s business and professional men and women. The world’s Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. Although Rotary clubs develop autonomous service programs, all Rotarians worldwide are united in a campaign for the global eradication of polio. In the 1980s, Rotarians raised US$240 million to immunize the children of the world; by 2005, Rotary’s centenary year and the target date for the certification of a polio-free world, the PolioPlus program will have contributed US$500 million to this cause. In addition, Rotary has provided an army of volunteers to promote and assist at national immunization days in polio-endemic countries around the world.

Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
