Edmonton’s Food Bank provides food to more than 40,000 people through hamper programs every month. It also provides food for 400,000 meals and snacks through 350 agencies, shelters, schools, and food depots each month. Edmonton’s Food Bank receives no core funding for food purchases or operations from any level of government and relies on the generosity of the community and food industry partners to assist those in need in Edmonton.

Edmonton's Food Bank envisions a community where hunger does not exist, where all citizens have access to adequate and nutritious supply of food. Our mission is "to be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger."

Each month, over 30,000 people receive food hampers from Edmonton’s Food Bank. The Edmonton Food Bank also distributes food for about 350,000 meals and snacks each month through more than 300 agencies, churches, schools and food depots. Approximately 40 percent of our clients are children under 18.
