2024 Marine Mills Folk School Online Auction

Welcome to the Marine Mills Folk School Online Auction!

As you head into the holiday season, we're offering you a unique way to support the folk school's mission and purchase gifts (for others or yourself!): by bidding on and purchasing high-quality artisan items and fun experiences generously donated by supporters of the folk school.

We encourage you to bid high and bid often on beautiful, handmade items by Midwestern regional artists and unique experiences. It's for a great cause!

**Fund a Need 2024**
In addition to all of the wonderful artisan items and experiences up for auction, we invite you to help us to Fund a Need and Fill the Woodshop!

The folk school has a beautiful, newly painted woodshop where talented instructors teach students the joys of wood carving. In order to hold classes and the monthly drop-in community open carving sessions, however, we need sets of essential hand tools.

Through the Online Auction, you can "buy" one, several or all of the tools in each set. Help us offer traditional woodcarving instruction to everyone through the 2024 Fund a Need!

**Bid Processes**
For items that are open to bids, there are two types of bidding:

1. A proxy bid allows you to enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend with the goal of winning the item at the lowest possible price. The system will automatically bid for you, up to your maximum proxy bid amount, as additional bids are entered on the item.

To enter a proxy bid, enter your maximum bid amount, click the proxy bid button, and submit your bid.

2. An exact bid is the amount you want the item's current selling price to immediately jump to. Your bid amount will not change as additional bids are entered on the item. Check back and bid again to keep the lead. You will be notified by email if you are outbid.
