Mission: Possible!

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Mission Office is holding its first ever online auction to create mission awareness and raise funds for the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS). With those funds, PMS builds seminaries and convents, provides training for catechists, and supports schools, orphanages and hospitals in mission dioceses all over the world. Your support will help to bring God’s love, hope and peace to all His children – especially the poor who have suffered most throughout this pandemic crisis.

Beginning Monday, April 5, through Saturday, April 10, our Mission: Possible! auction will feature more than 60 items, including beautiful handmade crafts, unique items representing the cultures where our missioners serve or we have twinning partnerships, fun and useful gift baskets for your home or to pamper yourself, and a variety of gift cards. There will be something for everyone! If you’d like to donate outside of the auction, please use the donation button on the main auction page.

Examples of what your money enables the PMS to do:
*$20 enables a parish in a mission county to serve the spiritual and physical needs of a refugee family for a week.
*$60 provides for one month's expenses for a seminarian or novice in mission dioceses: textbooks, technology, lodging, medical care, and seeds to grow their own food.
*$100 encourages mission parishes to serve several hungry and sickly families for a week who are unemployed due to health, weather, etc.
*$500 - $1,000 will keep a mission diocese clinic or hospital in operation.

Our office provides support to the Pontifical Mission Societies through the annual World Mission Sunday appeal and mission speakers through the Missionary Cooperation Plan; develops mission awareness in parishes and schools; enables parishioners to encounter Christ through short- and long-term missionary work and parish twinning; and provides spiritual and financial support for our missionaries.
