NSWC U13 Girls - Quebec Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament

The North Shore Winter Club (NSWC) U13 A1 girls team is blazing trails as the first all-female team from Western Canada to play in the legendary Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament!

This has been a long time dream for the group. Many of them started playing together at five and six years old, and the idea that was seeded by coach Karen Kos. Since then, this gritty, close-knit team has put in countless hours of crossovers, stickhandling, practice drills and competition to earn the opportunity to go. On November 8th the Winterhawks found out they had been accepted as one of only a dozen teams to play in the female division and that they will be the first, in the long history of the tournament, to represent BC female hockey. It’s an honour that’s not lost on them.

We are excited and thankful for all the donors for this silent auction and in advance thank all the bidders who are supporting our fundraising efforts to help cover the costs of participating.

The North Shore Winter Club (NSWC) U13 A Female hockey team has been invited to the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hickey Tournament held in February 2024. This is the most prestigious minor hockey tournament in the world. The NSWC Hawks are the first female hockey team to be invited from BC and the fundraising is to support their team's costs so they can represent female hockey in BC.
