NatureKids BC

The money we raise will be allocated entirely to the NatureKids BC Nature Club Program. This affordable, accessible program provides regular, in-nature adventures for children throughout British Columbia, ranging from invasive species removal, wildlife tracking, beach cleanups, bird banding, forest ecology, nature photography and wildlife surveys. NatureKids BC’s family nature clubs are open to anybody for only $35 for each family per year and we never turn anybody away if they can’t pay. New members receive a welcome pack that includes:

• A membership card
• A magnifying glass
• A passport to nature (children can collect prizes for submitting completed passports)
• The first copy of NatureWild magazine, our quarterly magazine

Only around 5% of our funding comes from membership fees, which means we wouldn't exist without generous people like you! Bid on an item now to help us keep our fees low and allow more children in BC to develop a love for nature.

NatureKids BC exists to help children in British Columbia get outdoors to explore, play, learn about and take action for nature.

There has never been a greater need for organizations like ours. It is important that we actively help this generation of children get outdoors and connected with nature because so much is at stake if we don’t. Along with the many health benefits - including stress reduction, better sleep and improved mental and physical health - spending time outside also helps families develop stronger bonds and, very importantly, it teaches children about environmental stewardship and inspires them to protect our environment.
