In early July, One More Page received a notice that our real estate taxes have been increased by a whopping 30%, retroactive back to the beginning of the year due to a change in how Arlington calculates the real estate tax for buildings like ours. Like most small businesses, OMP operates on razor thin margins and this increase is a significant hit to our already small bottom line. Our customers have been fantastic in emailing the county board and stepping up their purchases and we're hope this silent auction will get us back in the black. THANK YOU to all the generous authors, friends, neighboring businesses and customers supporting us in the auction and their purchases.

One More Page is an indie bookstore in the Arlington/Falls Church community where we take books, wine and chocolate much more seriously than we take ourselves. We strive to foster a welcoming environment and to reach out beyond our walls through partnerships with Arlington Public Library, Arlington Schools, Falls Church Public Schools and Fairfax Public Library to bring authors and books to the community, incl. the NoVa Teen Book Festival.
