Support Your PETERBOROUGH PLAYERS

For over 91 years, the Peterborough Players have been telling stories in a barn on a summer's nights. The plays change each year, but the passion and dedication our company has remains the same.

And we owe it all to you. Our audience. Our friends and family. Our community.

Without you, the work we create would have no purpose and would not be fiscally possible..

By bidding on the host of fabulous items donated to our sixth annual online auction, you are helping to ensure our future and the future of theatre in our area! So, as you explore the items, services, and experiences available here, consider not only the joy they will bring to the recipient, but also what it means to have The Players be a part of your summer.

Your collective generosity sustains us, motivates us, and makes the art of this theatre possible.

Bid early, bid often, and thank you.

About the Peterborough Players

Peterborough Players is a cultural treasure; a 91-year-old, fully professional nonprofit Equity theatre in an unexpected setting—a historic barn, three miles outside of Peterborough, NH. The theatre offers a traditional summer season of 5 shows from June through August, and Arts on Screen “The Met: Live in HD” operas and London’s National Theatre offerings. The Players produces professional theatre at a level of quality that has gained it a significant national reputation. “American summer repertory theatre at its most accomplished” – Terry Teachout, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.

“The Barn,” now renovated to a 250 seat theatre, is a cultural and economic cornerstone, drawing audiences from all over the Monadnock region and beyond and fulfilling its historic mission to: “Enrich the human experience by producing quality live professional theatre, developing and training theatre artists, and offering New Hampshire a wide variety of performing arts events.” The Players trains young theatre artists through our Second Company of interns who spend the summer season learning all aspects of the craft.

As part of our deep belief that the arts should be accessible to ALL, we offer “Players Gives” outreach programs. Players Gives helps broaden accessibility to live theatre by providing reduced-cost tickets to those in the community who might not otherwise be able to attend, while also creating partnerships and lending a helping hand to meaningful organizations who do a lot of good in the community.

The Peterborough Players is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
