About Project Watershed
Comox Valley Project Watershed's mission is to promote community stewardship of Comox Valley Watersheds through education, information and action. The Kus-kus-sum initiative is one of our most ambitions projects to date.
Kus-kus-sum is the concrete area known as the old Field Sawmill next to the 17th Street bridge on Comox Road. Once restored the site will create 8.3 acres of fish and wildlife habitat, provide recreational and educational opportunities, help mitigate climate change, attenuate localized flooding and put indigenous reconciliation into action.
