Auction to Benefit the Purple Light Project

‘The Purple Light Project’- an initiative that is intended to bring attention and support to our emergency psychiatric patients in Hartford Hospital’s Emergency Department. Purple is for the ‘purple pod’ which is the psychiatric section of the ER. Light is to represent our light always being on for those suffering from a mental health crisis. With earned money, we are buying fleece blankets -- both for warmth & for comfort and a reminder that HH ED is always there if you need help. We will also buy Uber vouchers so that a patient may reach a shelter or needed treatment.

Hartford HealthCare has 7 behavioral health hospitals spread throughout CT; Institute of Living, Natchaug, Charlotte Hungerford, St. Vincent's, Backus, Rushford & Hospital of Central CT. In these 7 hospitals, there are 15 inpatient sites and over 40 ambulatory programs. We provide mental health care to children, adolescents and adults. Hartford HealthCare is the second largest employer in CT and employs over 37,000 colleagues.
