Reclaiming's Fundraiser for BIRCH!

The purpose of this silent auction is to raise funds for the Reclaiming Tradition's BIRCH Council. The Broader Intra-Reclaiming Council Hub (BIRCH) was formed in 2004 to help make tradition-wide decisions for our global tradition. Its intention is to serve all parts of the evolving Reclaiming communities by nourishing our webs of connection, past, present and future, through passionate, generous, magical reflection, service and action.

=> Auction funds will help pay for items that have already been consensed by BIRCH representatives at the 2021 BIRCH meeting. These include:

~ Translation services for BIRCH 2022.
~ Compensation for the Principals of Accountability Working Group members who have been meeting every 2 weeks for the past year.
~ Compensation for BIRCH Committee members [Please note: BIRCH representatives are not compensated] .

=> Additional funds will go towards future Radical Inclusiveness related projects in Reclaiming including:

+ Developing materials for the Principals of Accountability (ex. instructions for creating a Safer Space Policies, etc.)
+ Curating tools and resources along with Safer Space language to be shared at the start of rituals or camps, this includes opportunities for greater inclusion for community members in the BIPOC, Disability, and Trans communities.
+ Translating and sharing materials with emerging Reclaiming communities (ex. Costa Rica and Chile).
+ Designing anti-racism trainings and mentorship programs for the wider Reclaiming community in order to encourage radical inclusion (ex. Inspired by the work of BC Camp’s Culture Ship, and Spiralheart Camp's Anti-Racism Cell).
+ Raising funds for the Deborah Ann Light Fund to support scholarships and seed money.

:: Who Is Reclaiming? ::

Reclaiming is a community of people working to unify spirit and politics. Our vision is rooted in the religion and magic of the Goddess, the Immanent Life Force. We see our work as teaching and making magic: the art of empowering ourselves and each other. In our classes, workshops, and public rituals, we train our voices, bodies, energy, intuition, and minds. We use the skills we learn to deepen our strength, both as individuals and as community, to voice our concerns about the world in which we live, and bring to birth a vision of a new culture.

Founded around 1980 in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Reclaiming tradition now includes several dozen regional communities across North America and in Europe and Australia.
