Silver Wings Industry & Scholarship Awards 2024
Welcome to the BC Aviation Council's Silver Wings Industry and Scholarship Awards Celebration Online Auction, running from October 11th to November 1st, 18:00 Pacific.
Half of all gross Online Auction proceeds are used to support our Scholarship Program – the largest aviation and aerospace scholarship initiative in Canada ($146,683 awarded in 2024). The remaining proceeds are used to support our programs and services to the British Columbia aviation and aerospace community, especially our very popular Youth Engagement and Communications programs.
If you happen to find a great deal, please remember that this is about supporting Scholarship and Youth – we invite you to consider investing some of your savings in a tax deductible donation on checkout.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
DONATED ITEMS that are not digital vouchers or gift certificates must be shipped by the donor to the winning bidder’s location within British Columbia at the donor’s expense. Items donated for the auction will be accepted until Tuesday, October 29th. 2024.
PERSONAL CASH DONATIONS will receive a charitable tax receipt from the BCAC. Charitable tax receipts for winning bids are not permitted.
A PROXY BID allows you to enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend with the goal of winning the item at the lowest possible price. The system will bid for you, up to your maximum proxy bid amount, as additional bids are entered on the item.
AN EXACT BID is the amount you want the item's current selling price to immediately jump to. Your bid amount will not change as additional bids are entered on the item.
If an item receives a bid during the FINAL THREE MINUTES of the auction, the item end time will be extended to allow for three additional minutes of bidding. This process repeats until no new bids are received during the final three minutes of the item bidding window or the auction has been extended for a maximum of 30 minutes beyond the original end time.
