The Not-So-Silent Silent Auction RETURNS! The Shakespeare Theatre's silent auction has always been full of hidden gems and eclectic finds, from fine art to one-of-a-kind objects to unique experiences! We launched our first Not-So-Silent Silent Auction in November of 2020 and it was such a success that we're doing a spring version.

Like most arts organizations, we're feeling the ripple effects of COVID-19 and there's no question that the performing arts are being hit very hard. That being said, theatre folk are notoriously resourceful--even in the midst of a pandemic! We trust that our creativity and dedicated persistence will help us survive these dire times, but we can't do it alone! So as you browse and bid, remember that all proceeds from the Not-So-Silent Silent Auction II will help the Shakespeare Theatre emerge from the pandemic in good health!

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is one of the most respected classic theatre companies in the nation. It is also the longest-running Shakespeare Theatre on the East Coast, now in its 62nd season in 2024. STNJ’s mission and work are unique in the state, and our national reputation draws constituents from around the globe. STNJ benefits the citizens of New Jersey and the broader region artistically, educationally, culturally, and, in very concrete terms, economically; our economic impact in the region now exceeds $10.0 million annually. STNJ offers a full mainstage season at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University, and a summer "under the stars" production at the Outdoor Stage, a 500-seat stone amphitheater on the campus of St. Elizabeth University nearby. Our production, administrative and educational programs all operate out of The Thomas H. Kean Theatre Factory in Florham Park.

In addition to its acclaimed performances, STNJ is committed to arts education, bringing quality Shakespeare and classic theatre education into schools across New Jersey and beyond.
