Sip & Savour 2022 – Hybrid Edition

Our mandate, every month, is to provide a week of non-perishable foods, food cards, fresh produce, pet kibble and paper products to residents of King Township who seek assistance through registration with us.

Money raised through Sip & Savour helps make this a reality.

The King Township Food Bank (KTFB) is a volunteer-driven, registered charity dedicated to ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. Operating entirely without government funding, we rely solely on the generosity of local residents, businesses, and events like Sip & Savour to fund our operations.

What sets KTFB apart is our passionate team of volunteers. With a small working Board of Directors and about 40 committed volunteers, we not only run the food bank but also organize this very event and provide support for other community initiatives. Every dollar raised and every hour donated directly impacts families in need across King Township.

Thanks to the selflessness of our volunteers and the support of our community, 100% of all donations go directly toward feeding our clients—a remarkable achievement that ensures your contributions have a direct and meaningful impact.

Each month, we distribute pre-packed boxes of non-perishable food, fresh produce, and grocery cards to over 500 individuals, nearly 180 families in total. Our distribution centers in King City, Nobleton, and Kettleby serve as critical lifelines for families who are struggling to make ends meet in the face of rising living costs. Volunteers pack the boxes at our Depot, and they’re made available for pick-up or delivered to those in need on the third Saturday of every month.
