Soiree In The Sky Auction

Our Soiree in the Sky, Monday October 21st, celebrates the success of the past year, when we worked with more than 200 artists and supported the development of over 85 new plays and musicals.
This incredible online auction will help us raise critical funds as we work to increase and grow our programming and reach even more artists creating new work - and paying EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM for their work.
This year's Soiree in the Sky will be held in the spectacular offices of Greenberg Traurig on the 32nd Floor of One Vanderbilt!

HOW IT WORKS:
- Our auction will transition to the live event.
- The highest online bid becomes the lowest bid at the in person event.
- Proxy bids are the highest bid that you are willing to pay for the item.
- Proxy bids will be kept confidential and known only to one designated auction committee member who will bid for you up until your proxy bid.

- There will be no online auction access during the event.
- Online bidding ends at 12:00 PM on Monday 10/21 so get your proxy bids in before then!

The Workshop Theater's mission is to inspire, sustain, explore, and amplify the creation of new theatrical stories, and to connect those stories to audiences.
For 30 years, we have been an artistic hub for diverse theatermakers … welcoming, creating, developing, and producing unheard theatrical stories. We believe that sharing the singular vision of theatermakers creates and encourages conversations for the multicultural 21st century audience we are. By focusing on a singular viewpoint of the world we can imagine it in a different way. We look for stories that frame questions in a unique way...a fresh perspective, a way of understanding the world that refreshes or revisits familiar stories or narratives, or explores theatrical forms in a way we haven’t encountered.

It's going to be a fantastic evening in a gorgeous venue (on the 29th floor of One Vanderbilt) featuring delicious food by local French chef Zoe Deleu, copious beverages, live performances of some of our past, present and future work by some very special guests, beautiful views of midtown Manhattan, fun auction items and more!

Last year, we worked with and paid more than 215 artists and supported the development of over 90 new plays by writers across the spectrum of gender, age, race, sexuality, and ability. This year, we are looking to bring even more untold stories from underrepresented voices to life, and we need YOUR help to make this happen!
