About Our Auction

Proceeds benefit the homeless, injured or sick animals in our 3 County shelters. Our primary focus is funding critical or emergency medical care of injured or sick stray animals that arrive at the shelters in need of emergency or critical Veterinary care who might otherwise be euthanized due to lack of funds. Some examples of animals in need of this type of care are animals that have been hit by a car, suffered abuse or neglect. We also fund low to no cost spay/neuter, behavior training for animals not considered adoptable due to behavior issues and shelter enrichment is our mission to promote animal welfare and to better the quality of life for animals in Santa Barbara County through education, outreach, collaboration and promotion of the humane ethic and responsible treatment of all animals.
The SBC Animal Care Foundation, Inc. was established in the Spring of 2002. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (c)3 organization. Funds that are donated to our foundation are not donations to the County, we are a separate Foundation. Our efforts and focus are supporting & maintaining Santa Barbara County Animal Services live release rate success of well over 94% (commonly referred to as no-kill) heading into our 21st year!
