The Heart Leaf Center Silent Auction 2023!

All proceeds from The Heartfelt Silent Auction will go directly to providing critical mental health counseling for children, adolescents and families. Covid-19 and the resulting Pandemic have created a mental health crisis in our country as so many children and families are struggling with significant and in some cases, debilitating anxiety and depression. Isolation, fear and financial stress have taken their toll this year. With your help, we want to begin to address this crisis- to support these families by offering affordable play therapy and consultation.

The Heart Leaf Center aims to increase access to high-quality play therapy mental health services for children and families through low-cost counseling. Today, 1 in 5 children are struggling with mental health issues. Only 29% of therapists in Northern Virginia see kids ages 6 to 10, and only 12% see kids under five. At The Heart Leaf Center, 74% of our clients are age 10 or younger. THLC strives to ensure access to mental health services by accepting Tricare and Medicaid insurances. This year THLC also established the Tender Heart Fund to expand support for uninsured and underinsured families who rely on self-pay options for their therapy sessions.
