About Our Auction
Mary has just learned to recite the entire alphabet by herself. James read a 20 page book on his own. And Casey has gotten a promotion at work. These simple successes are the reason the Triangle Literacy Council exists.
You are invited to support TLC’s efforts by participating in our Online Silent Auction! Proceeds will fund TLC’s free literacy and life-skills services to adults, families, and at-risk youth in the Triangle area, including our Connections One-on-One Tutoring Program for adults and our Juvenile Literacy Center for at-risk youth ages 6 to 16. We could not continue to provide our many services at no cost to our students without the support of community members like you. Our Online Silent Auction is another great way for you to get involved and help support our efforts!
About Triangle Literacy Council
The Triangle Literacy Council’s mission is to improve the lives of adults, youth, and families by teaching basic literacy and life skills for economic and social success. For over 47 years, we have served a broad spectrum of individuals including youth (ages 6-16) involved with the juvenile justice system, foster children, unemployed adults, inmates in county jails, digitally-excluded populations, English as a Second language learners, and parents and their young children through a two-prong approach for success. TLC also serves as an NC Works job center to help unemployed adults find and secure jobs. All of our services are provided at no cost to our students.
