7th Annual Taste of New Orleans

It is with deep regret that we must announce the cancellation of our annual Taste of New Orleans Reception, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, due to the impact of Hurricane Milton.

However, we are pleased to inform you that the event has been rescheduled for October 11, 2025. While we won’t be able to gather in person this year, there is still an exciting opportunity to participate in our online auction, featuring incredible items, with all proceeds going toward amplifying the impact of our services.

Online Auction Dates: October 1 - October 31

We invite you to place your bids and help us continue our mission of equipping future leaders in the community. Every bid you place supports programs that build confidence, character, and opportunities for youth in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties.

Truly Valued, founded in 2016 by Shavonne Sams, our mission is to promote positive self-esteem, education, confidence, and character among youth and families. The organization offers a range of services, including mentoring, educational support, skill-building workshops, and mental health resources. Over the years, Truly Valued has expanded its reach to Manatee, DeSoto, and Sarasota Counties, significantly impacting the lives of many individuals.
