About Our Auction

Join us for the Manitoulin Improvement Association's first-ever fundraising sock auction! This fun and cozy event invites our community to bid on unique, hand-crafted, and specially designed socks, as well as a few other comfy or novelty pairs. Funds raised from the auction will support a variety of vital community projects, including environmental preservation and educational initiatives on Manitoulin Island. Plus, bids over $25 are eligible for a charitable receipt for every dollar over that amount! By participating, you’ll help fund initiatives that make a real difference in preserving the island’s natural beauty, enhancing community spaces, and increasing environmental awareness for residents and visitors alike. Don’t miss this opportunity to win a pair of one-of-a-kind socks while giving back to our community—warm up your feet and your heart this season!

About Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association

Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association is grass roots, a not-for -profit organization that is focused on large-scale, community based efforts to rehabilitate aquatic ecosystems on Manitoulin Island, in central Ontario. We bring the entire community together to do this via joint private and public driven initiatives. Our efforts rehabilitate and enhance water quality and the fisheries resource on Manitoulin Island and Lake Huron which is fed by the streams. We came together in 2001, became incorporated in 2007 and achieved charitable status in 2011. Since our inception, we have completed 86 stream restoration projects, bringing over $7 million to our local economy.
