UpRising Yoga Holiday Auction

We call on your generosity to assist us in raising the necessary funds to continue the important work we do in our community. Your contribution in this online auction will allow us to expand our work to communities that don’t have easy access to yoga. Also, please note that we are a registered 501(c)(3) charity, and any contribution you make will be tax deductible.

UpRising Yoga is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring yoga to incarcerated youth and communities that need it most. We teach yoga in juvenile halls, juvenile detention facilities, probation camps, residential group homes, as well as community centers and schools. We currently hold seven Yoga Life Skill classes for over 100 teens and adults each week. The specific populations served in juvenile hall are children with a history of foster care and/or commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC).

Our yoga programs have been found to reduce anxiety, build confidence, combat depression, improve behavioral control, decrease psychological distress, and improve mood and mental well-being among incarcerated individuals.
