Vermont College of Fine Arts' MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults and MFA in Writing auctions have raised over $20,000 each year, supporting scholarships, residency events, alumni programs and initiatives. This year 100% of the auction proceeds will fund scholarships for students in both programs, with the Glover Fund for Writers, Authors, & Publishers, VCFA’s invested scholarship fund which will grant writing students’ scholarships for years to come. By participating in VCFA AUCTION 2018 you support your fellow writers and help create more diverse, vibrant and important literature. Writers will thrive and create if we continue to provide them with opportunities to expand their practice, broaden their experience, and strengthen their creative network. To view all auction items click View All Items near the bottom of this page.
To see items in a particular category click the ALL ITEMS drop down menu above and select a category.

Choose which type bid you want to enter.
- An EXACT BID will enter your full bid amount immediately.
- A PROXY BID is a maximum bid, although you can raise it later. A Proxy bid will enter your bid above the previous highest bid and will automatically rise against competing bids up to your limit (like bidding on Ebay.)
- With BUY IT NOW you'll win your dream item instantly and make a meaningful donation to VCFA scholarships.

Most items will be shipped directly from the auction donor to the winner.

We will email you on Tuesday May 28 with information about how to pay for your item. If there is a shipping cost it will be added to your invoice.
