Score for Scholarships 2021 Auction

Want to help young people attend a unique summer camp experience and get cool gifts along the way? Bid on items in Water Wanderings' Score for Scholarships 2021 Auction. All proceeds support the Water Wanderings Scholarship Fund.

We offer a generous sliding scale - from $100 for families earning less than $29,000 to $3,000 for families earning more than $500,000. The actual cost of camp is around $1,000 and we rely on the Scholarship Fund to help us cover the difference between the cost of operating camp and what campers pay. Last year, our average registration fee was a little less than $400, so the scholarship fund is crucial to making Water Wanderings financially sustainable!

Additionally, each summer, we reserve one space in each Water Wanderings session for a low-income Black, Indigenous or Camper of Color to attend free of charge. Funding to support these full scholarships comes from our Scholarship Fund as well.

Water Wanderings is a small nonprofit summer camp founded in 2017. Our mission is to empower young people through inclusive community building, outdoor adventure, and environmental education that nourishes resilience and integrity. We offer overnight camps based in the Green River Reservoir State Park in Hyde Park for young folks ages 9-12 and 13-15, and families. Our unique curriculum integrates environmental justice, equity and ecology. Water Wanderings’ vision is that young people will disrupt oppression by developing healthy and equitable relationships with themselves, each other, and the Earth.
