The Great Wakefield Grannies Harvest Auction

Come celebrate this year's 3rd edition of the harvest auction with the Wakefield Grannies by bidding on a unique culinary creation prepared with love from our community in order to raise much needed funds for monthly food relief for our sister grandmothers and their families in South Africa.

The Wakefield Grannies and the Gogos (grandmothers) of Alexandra and Natal province have been joined in solidarity for close to 20 years. At least 50 families receive monthly food supplies each year. We are very grateful for your continued support to this grassroots endeavour.

Our mission is to maintain personal contact and financially assist grandmothers in South Africa who are caring for their AIDS-orphaned grandchildren.

We provide financial assistance, friendship, solidarity and mutual moral support.
