About Our Auction
All proceeds from the Lansing City Pulse Cover Art Auction will be dedicated to the improvement and growth of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing’s Young Creatives Program.
Every artist and art lover has a story, a special remembrance that made them realize they wanted to either be an artist or that they would love and support the arts forever. For many people, this artistic passion is first awakened in their childhood. The arts change people's lives, no matter how young. Because of this, it is crucial to bring the arts to our youth in order to support the next generation of artists and arts supporters.
The Arts Council’s Young Creatives Program brings creative opportunity to youth in the Greater Lansing, Mich. area in numerous ways. Whether it is through displaying youth art, bringing the arts to schools, or connecting children with artistic programming, the Arts Council cares deeply about giving children access to artistic opportunity in order to foster their creativity and abilities. The Arts Council’s Young Creatives program offers five areas of engagement: the Young Creatives Artist-In-Residency Program, the Young Creatives Billboard Project, the Young Creatives Guide, the Young Creatives Grants and Young Creatives advocacy measures.
Each area of the program extends the impact of the arts into a different part of children’s lives and helps to enrich the creative culture of the Capital region. With proceeds from the City Pulse Cover Art Auction benefiting the Young Creatives program, the Arts Council will be able to strengthen and expand the program in various ways, such as sponsoring more artists-in-residency, adding additional Young Creatives grants and increasing the impact of current advocacy efforts.
For 55 years, the Arts Council has supported the Lansing community's passion and dedication to the arts by providing a broad range of programs, resources, opportunities, and services in the Capital region. The work of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing is about bringing art to everyone in the Capital region and enriching lives as a result. And we couldn't make it happen without you.
