This auction supports A PLACE TO STAY the entry point to services for neighbors in Blount County, TN, who are experiencing homelessness. In partnership with our unhoused neighbors and other community agencies, organizations, and businesses, we coordinate services and provide support to our neighbors in efforts to remove barriers to housing. APTS partners with other organizations in the community to find solutions to homelessness as we increase awareness of homelessness and its causes, and as we develop pilot programs for transitional and supportive housing. Our Community Outreach center is in contact with 50-100 persons/month coming alongside neighbors to offer referrals, mentoring, and a listening ear. Quarterly Street Outreach Service days offer practical hands-on services from partner organizations.
The TOWNSEND ARTISAN GUILD, is made up of visual artists and art supporters who wish to learn from each other and share their knowledge and their art with the community. About A Place to Stay
A Place to Stay is Partnering to End Homelessness in Blount County, TN.
With many other partners we come alongside our neighbors experiencing homelessness as a gateway to resources. We are partnering with other organizations in the community to find solutions to homelessness. We are increasing awareness of homelessness--who our neighbors experiencing homelessness are, situations which lead to experiencing homelessness, and ways to contribute to a solution. Our Community Outreach center is in contact with 50-100 persons/month coming alongside to offer referrals and a listening ear. Quarterly Street Outreach Service days offer practical hands-on services from partner organizations. With partners, our hope is to develop pilot programs for case-managed transitional and supportive housing in the future.
We are thankful to the members of the Townsend Artist Guild and for artists from Blount, Knox, and Loudon Counties who have created the wonderful works of art for this auction!
