About Our Auction

All proceeds will benefit the Ballston Spa High School Robotics Team.
You can also view and bid on all the items at our event on April 9, 2024 5:30 – 8:00 at the Ballston Spa High School!

For the past fifteen years, Ballston Spa students have teamed together to participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition, an international contest in which over 68,000 students from around the world design, program, and build robots to compete against each other in a unique game. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science Technology) strives to inspire young people, their schools, and communities to appreciate and embrace science and technology.

But the Ballston Spa High School FIRST Robotics Team cannot build its robot or participate in the competitions without the help of the community. Just as a business needs capital to grow, the robotics team needs funds for the electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to build the robot, as well as the costs of traveling to the competitions. Unlike other school districts that require team members and their families to pay hundreds of dollars to participate, Ballston Spa does not limit team membership by the ability to pay – all interested students are encouraged to join the team and express their passion for technology, regardless of financial capacity. So, we turn to you as a member of the community for help. And for fifteen years, the community has generously done just that and sent our FIRST Robotics Team 3044 to the Regional and Championship competitions!

Silent Auction: The auction will also be held in person in conjunction with our annual Pizza and Mac & Cheese Competition where local restaurants compete to earn the coveted “Best Pizza in Town” and “Best Mac & Cheese in Town” title.
