About Our Auction
Two of Almonte's volunteer community leaders, Glenda Jones and Barbara Carroll, have resurrected a wonderful fundraising program, the Birdhouse Blowout Silent Auction.
Very fortunately for the Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists, Glenda and Barbara have decided to donate the proceeds this time around to the MVFN Cliff Bennett Nature Bursary Fund.
Bursarys are offered to local students who choose to study post-secondary studies in a field related to the natural environment. Each $1,000 raised will provide a bursary to another student.

Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists is an active club founded in 1988 to increase public interest, knowledge, understanding, appreciation, and respect for the natural world in Lanark County, Ontario. It is a registered charity (and member of the Ontario Nature Network) committed to increasing the knowledge and awareness of local species and their habitat, and of the importance of conservation.
