Hello, my name is Antonia and I am the founder of Baltimore Win Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to empower people with criminal records to find meaningful employment. I started this initiative on July 3rd, 2023, after realizing that I had a unique combination of skills and experience that could benefit others.

Two years before that, I was working as support staff on a psychiatric unit for people who had committed serious crimes but also had a developmental disability. I enjoyed my work and had a good rapport with my clients, but I was unaware of the jealousy and hostility of some of my co-workers, who plotted to get me fired a month before I was about to have 10 years and be vested. At the time, I felt devastated and betrayed, but now I see it as an opportunity to pursue my true calling.

I have over 20 years of experience in medical billing and provider credentialing, which are highly sought-after skills in the healthcare industry. I decided to use my knowledge and expertise to train others who want to start a new career or change their mindset. Our mission is to provide workforce development with compassion. We offer online skills training to 25 people every quarter, as well as mentoring, counseling, and advocacy to help them overcome their obstacles and achieve their goals with a Career Coach for one full year. However, we cannot do this alone. We need your financial support and assistance to make this program a success. So far, we have not received any monetary donations, sponsorship or grants. We have only received donations of refurbished laptops, optical mouses, headsets and laptop cases thanks to a program through DGS, which we are very grateful for. But we also have volunteers who deserve some recognition and appreciation until we can secure the proper funding and hire them.
