About the Event
The Countryside Speakeasy (formerly known as the "Parent Party") will be held the evening of March 31 at Union Street Restaurant in Newton Centre. Our event will begin at 7:30 p.m. and feature live music, a paddle raise auction, and wine grab! Heavy apps will be served and drinks will be available for purchase. Wondering what a paddle raise and/or wine grab is? See below for more information!
Live Event Information
Silent Auction/Paddle Raise Auction
On March 5, all auction items open for online bidding. The bolded price underneath each item is the starting bid. Many items feature a "buy now" option, so if you really want something and don't want to risk being outbid, you can scoop it up now for 10% over the retail value. The entire community, including those that did not purchase a Speakeasy ticket, are invited to participate. The online bidding will close at 9:00 p.m. on March 30, and the auction will transition to a live paddle raise at our Speakeasy event on March 31. Only those that attend the Speakeasy will have the opportunity for final bids via a live paddle raise!
Wine Grab Sponsored by VinodiVino
Each person who purchases a Speakeasy ticket will be entered into our wine grab raffle! If your number is called, you may choose a wrapped bottle of wine, but you don't know what you're going to get! All bottles have been generously donated by VinodiVino and are valued at least $30. One bottle will be valued at $100!
About Countryside PTO
The Countryside Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an active group of parents and teachers working together to help make Countryside the best it can be. Every Countryside parent or guardian is a member of the PTO. The PTO helps to enhance our children’s school experience through programs such as Creative Arts and Sciences, the Multicultural Festival, FunRun, and other community building events. We also support teachers by providing classroom resources and materials. The PTO builds community spirit and facilitates information sharing. We encourage you to join us and get involved in the Countryside PTO. The addition of new parents to PTO committees ensures that we continue to generate new ideas and to foster the creative talent that keeps Countryside’s programs dynamic and strong.
The mission of the Countryside PTO is to enrich our children’s education by:
1. creating an inclusive and welcoming community within classes, grades, and the school as a whole
2. fostering constructive connections between parents and teachers, specialists, and staff
3. enhancing campus life through special programs and resources
