Chautauqua Visual Arts Gala Auction

Each year, Chautauqua Visual Arts hosts our annual Strohl Through the Arts Gala at Strohl Arts Center. Our primary mission through this fundraising event is to provide scholarships for the 2021 participants of our Chautauqua School of Art Residency Program. For the past two years, we are very pleased to share that every attendee has been offered a scholarship, with the help of this event! This makes our CVA School of Art Residency Program not only competitive, but one of the most equitable in the country, as students are accepted based on their talent and potential! While we are unable to gather in person this year, we are excited to offer this ONLINE Annual Auction. In addition to the scholarship donations, the 31 auction items are entirely comprised of artwork by artists who have previously exhibited in our galleries. All artists, unless they wished to make a donation, will receive a commission, so you will be supporting them as well as our 2021 Students and Emerging Artists!

We will be hosting a dinner in Strohl Art Center (2021) for anyone who sponsors a half or full scholarship, to meet the Student / Emerging Artist they sponsored! We will also host a wine and cheese party for anyone who sponsors a Student / Emerging Artist at the $500 level.

Chautauqua Visual Arts is a place for learning, experiencing, and sharing centered on four pillars: School of Art, Galleries, Lecture Series, and Events & Enrichment. The School is an incubator of inclusive and expansive programming in the visual arts composed of workshops and one-on-one time with mentors covering all media. The Galleries and outdoor Sculpture Garden focus on an array of diverse contemporary exhibitions, created by some of the most outstanding visual artists working today. Chautauqua Visual Arts also hosts a weekly public Lecture Series of profound thought leaders in the visual arts from all over the world, and our Enrichment Classes include many offerings for every age, skill and experience level and a place to share our resources for further learning.
