About Our Auction
We are excited to bring the Breaking Out Of The Silence (B.O.O.T.S.) auction to you again this year! This year’s theme is “Still Surviving and Rising!” Like last year the auction is 100% online. The auction will run from April 28 - May 4, closing at 9:00 pm ET. Join us! And, invite your friends and family, near and far!

DAWN continues to see a rise in need of support, counsel, and emergency services to survivors and their families in the Washington D.C. area. We are so grateful for your support and are delighted to have you join us (again) this year to support survivors and their families!
Bidding starts 7:00 am April 28th and ends at 9:00 pm ET on Saturday, May 4th. Stay tuned for further details about auction account registration. About DAWN
DAWN is a trauma-informed, culturally responsive and transformative justice-based agency that provides multi-faceted services to domestic violence and sexual abuse survivors and the community. DAWN addresses power-based violence by providing direct services and education. DAWN is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving the Washington D.C./Maryland/Virginia area.
DAWN’s mission is to promote healthy relationships and reduce abuse in the Deaf community in the Washington, DC area. We emphasize that all forms of violence are intersectional. Working with survivors who have many identities we recognize that individuals and society decrease the right to one’s own safety and autonomy.
We at DAWN, remind ourselves of the importance of being intentional with our work to ensure that we do not reinforce oppression especially by discounting any of the intersectional identities of Deaf Survivors.
DAWN recognizes and believes in our commitment to promote healthy relationships and reduce violence in the Deaf community by recognizing the power, control, and violence caused by all forms of oppression which cause violence to Deaf people of all identities. With this mission, survivors can live their lives in the true meaning of dignity and self-worth.
We look forward to developing new relationships with you that will support DAWN and the community we serve!
