Deck the Halls 2022

Deck the Halls 2022—— Artists and designers at Louisiana Tech University School of Design (SOD) have created custom skate decks for the annual Deck The Halls exhibition, which opens 5:30-7:30pm, Monday, December 5, 2022 at the F. Jay Taylor Visual Arts Center (TVAC) located at 1 Mayfield Avenue in Ruston, Louisiana. Participating artists and designers have the option to auction their decks and donate 100% to Friends of Ruston Skatepark, or split the sale with 50% to Friends of Ruston Skatepark and 50% to the artist/designer. Funds raised help provide a safe place for kids to skate. We hope you will support our journey to make this skatepark dream a reality.

MISSION STATEMENT
To provide a skatepark and public art experience in the former Memorial Park Pool by raising funds in partnership with the City of Ruston.

VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to provide a safe, creative, and art-centered skatepark that improves our community and empowers youth.

PHILOSOPHY
To serve individuals who might not participate in traditional group sports as well as enhance quality of life for the public through a space that values creativity, public art, and self-expression.

Friends of Ruston Skatepark will serve all demographics.
