About Our Auction

Welcome to The East Bay Depot's 45th Anniversary Auction!

We are very pleased to display the work of local artists who shop at and use the resources of The Depot Store to create their works of art. This is both a fundraising activity for the Depot and an opportunity to celebrate and support local artists, with the artists receiving 50% of the highest bid. We hope you enjoy looking over this wealth of artistic work.

How the auction will work:

• The auction will open at 8am on Friday, September 27, 2024 and will continue until 10pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

• To bid, you'll be prompted to create a free account with 32Auctions.

• You can either bid an exact amount or by "proxy," in which 32Auctions automatically raises your bid such that it is the lowest possible winning bid, up to your maximum bid amount. Learn more at https://www.32auctions.com/pages/help.html#bidding
end time.

• At the auction's end, 32auctions will send the highest bidder an email about how to complete the payment process by credit or debit card.

• Winning bidders can pick up their purchases between October 15 and 27.

About East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse

The nonprofit East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse is located at 4695 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland’s historic and vibrant Temescal District. It is a 4,500 square foot ecological treasure trove of art & craft materials, educational supplies, vintage findings, home décor, paper goods, fabric, and much more.

Founded in 1979 by two Oakland public school teachers, the Depot promotes solid waste diversion and resource conservation through the Depot store and community education programs.

Our mission is to divert waste materials from landfills by collecting and redistributing discarded goods as low-cost supplies for art, education, and social services in our Depot Store. Our educational mission is to increase the awareness of the green benefits of reusing materials for school children and the general public.

This year we are celebrating our 45th Anniversary! 50% of the proceeds from this auction will go toward maintaining our store and programs and 50% will go to the artists.
