For the Record: Changing D.C.

Welcome to the online auction portion of "For the Record: Changing D.C." The auction will begin on Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. after we reveal this year's winners. The Collection Committee of the Historical Society will select up to 5 works that will become a permanent part of the collections; the remaining art will be available for the auction between April 14 - May 26, 2016.

For the Record provides exposure, recognition, and enduring prestige to local artists, and raises funds to support the Historical Society. #FortheRecordDC. Proceeds from the sale of all original artwork support the collections at the Historical Society of Washington, D.C.

The Historical Society of Washington, D.C., is a community-supported educational and research organization that collects, interprets, and shares the history of our nation’s capital. The Live Auction will begin on May 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. and will close at 7:45 p.m. The auction will be held at the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. headquarters in the Washington Public Library (Carnegie building) on Mt. Vernon Square in downtown DC.
