Guitars for Kids Annual Art Guitar Auction

Every year Guitars for Kids Waterloo Region holds a fun event that helps raise awareness for our program. One of the programs we've created is called the Art Guitar Program.

“Sometimes the guitars come in quite damaged and after our luthier has inspected them and deemed them un-repairable, we take them to local artists to have them painted. Once the art guitar is completed, they are placed in local libraries (Idea Exchange) to not only display the art, but to help bring awareness to our program.”

After about a year, the art guitars are taken out of Idea Exchange and auctioned off at the Guitars for Kids annual fundraiser.

Established in 2015, Guitars for Kids Waterloo Region is a registered non-profit community initiative that collects, refurbishes, and distributes free guitars to youth in the Region.
