GRCP Fundraiser

The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene at the Green River is hard to comprehend. Green River residents have not only lost their homes and belongings, but the land beneath them has been stripped away. The landscape has been forever changed.
All funds from this auction will go toward restoring the Green River and supporting our community. This will help pay for the rental of large equipment and dumpsters for this effort, planting trees, and restoring access points.

The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene at the Green River is hard to comprehend. Green River residents have not only lost their homes and belongings, but the land beneath them has been stripped away. The landscape has been forever changed.

Our grassroots fundraiser could never raise enough money to replace homes and put in infrastructure we can give back to the community that has always welcomed us with open arms. Funds donated to the Green Race Conservation Project will go toward restoring the Green River and supporting our community.

While agencies will handle road repairs and power restoration, it’s up to us to help restore the area itself properly. We will donate a portion of donations made to the Fund to the Green Riverkeeper to help pay for their cleanup efforts, which include removing houses and cars from logjams, retrieving trailers from treetops, and reintroducing native vegetation. This will help pay for the rental of large equipment and dumpsters for this effort.
