About Guelph Youth Music Centre
Established in 1992, the Guelph Youth Music Centre (GYMC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to education, enrichment, and fostering the development of youth through music and the arts. It is a unique cultural hub in the Guelph and Wellington County community as it hosts a world-class concert hall, rehearsal spaces, classrooms, and a dance studio. The GYMC operates in a variety of ways to support artists, youth, students, and the broader community; through in-house programming as well as making subsidized rental space available to community organizations and local musicians. The GYMC is the home of the Suzuki String School of Guelph, Guelph Youth Singers, The Acting Centre, and many more music and community-based organizations. GYMC programs include the GYMC
Youth String Orchestras, Guelph School of Music, Kids Chorus, Sound Explorers: Adapted Music Class for Children with Disabilities, and Ukulele Classes. The GYMC is also the host of Knights Fest, our popular free Annual Family Day event exploring the Medieval and Renaissance eras through music, dance, demonstrations, and interactive displays.
