The Hifi Club - Save Our Space

At the Hifi Club we have always aimed to blur the lines between nightclub & art gallery. We've done our best to provide great entertainment in our nightclub space as well as a space for visual artists to share their work. Over the last 15 years our space has hosted more events than we can remember, including a long list of local producers, bands and DJs, and of young international artists on their way to the top: Kid Cudi, Big Freedia, Diplo, JID, Skrillex, Torey Lanez, Chromeo, The Constantines, Joel Plaskett, Jack Harlow, and Flying Lotus to name a few. Using the club as a rotating pseudo-art gallery space also gave us the opportunity to work with some immensely creative Calgarians & global visual artists over the years.

2020 was supposed to be the time when we were rolling out our plans for celebrating 15 years of the Hifi Club. But things never go exactly according to plan, and unfortunately we don't really don’t know when we will be able to celebrate. We want to try and ensure that we are able to reopen eventually, so we devised a plan. One thing about being open for 15 years is how many memories that have been created at the club through the music, people and art. We are going to give you a chance to help save our space, and own one of the iconic pieces of art from Hifi’s past...

This is a month-long online auction featuring pieces by Ben Tour, Matt Luckhurst, Dust La Rock, HVW8, Parra and more. The funds will help to ensure Hifi is able to reopen when the dust settles. Keep in mind the artwork has some wear due to all the memories that have been created in its midst.

The Hifi Club has been blurring the lines between live music venue, dance club and art gallery since 2005. Situated in Calgary’s Beltline district, The Hifi Club hosts leading local acts and some of the most influential artists from around the world. In the past we've hosted acts such as Jamie XX, Flying Lotus, The Constantines, Frank Black of The Pixies, Joel Plaskett, Kool Keith, Souls of Mischief, Frank n Dank, Diplo, Calvin Harris, Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki, Dj Jazzy Jeff, J.I.D, Octave One, Richie Hawtin and many more.
