John D Gomke Charity Virtual Silent Action

We are trying something new! Our silent auction that would typically be held during the 11th John D Gomke Charity Classic (JDGCC) is being moved to online. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 the tournament will look a little different this year. Though we will have these items on display during the JDGCC on June 12th & 13th at Lake Panorama National, we will be hosting the auction here virtually.

We look forward to seeing you virtually! Bidding will start at 10 am on Friday, June 12th, & end on Thursday, June 18th, at 9 pm! There is also a 'Buy Now' option for every item, so if you want to guarantee you're a winner, click that to secure that item at that price. No one else will be able to bid on the item after that. Bid early & often!

Extend an item end time by 3 minutes when it receives a bid during the final 3 minutes (max 30 minute extension).

We have a goal of raising $3500 in cash donations during the month of June 2020. $5000 would pay for 2 Zoll AED Plus Mobile Response Packs to travel for events held outside of the school building. . Donations received between now & June 30th will receive the following incentives:

For every $25 donation you will receive 1 entry into a drawing to win $100 HyVee gift card. The drawing will be held on Wednesday, July 1.

The John D Gomke Charity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was created in 2010 by Steve & Jessica Gomke after their son John Donald Gomke became an Angel at 33-days-old.

Our mission is help prevent and cope with infant and young child loss, one baby step at a time.

John's Charity donates Defibrillators (AED) to schools. Along with updating infant pads & batteries as needed. Because of all your support we have been able to donate 37 defibrillators (AEDs), 78 Infant replacement pads, 26 adult replacement pads and 80 sets of batteries to 10 Central Iowa Schools

John's charity also works with MercyOne Children's Hospital to provide keepsakes to families who suffer the loss of an infant or child 19 years and younger. We want to ensure that when a family leaves the hospital without their child in their arms, they have keepsakes to comfort them in the coming years.

We remember Angel Babies at our events, our Facebook page & website by telling their stories, sharing their pictures or however the parents are comfortable sharing. We will continue to remember these Angels throughout the years!
