Karen McCarthy's art auction & sale

2020 has been quite a year. And the arts have been affected quite seriously by COVID-19. I have chosen to offer many of my original artworks at reduced prices for this auction and sale event. These pieces have been carefully composed and crafted, and are now looking for new homes.

My collages are made from my hand-painted and printed papers and fabrics. I use a variety of surface design techniques.
You can see more pieces and learn more about the processes at my web site, www.karenmccarthyart.com In short, I apply paint or printing to many surfaces, then cut them and compose the works gradually, with many revisits and alterations.
Eventually I glue the prints on to paper and mount the composition on to canvas or panel. The works are layered with protective finishes to help preserve them against the elements. They are carefully and lovingly produced.
