Keys Charity Fund 20th Annual Golf Classic
The Keys Charity Fund Annual Golf Classic is dedicated to serving the community by benefitting a local family in need of financial support. The event has raised over $750,000 dollars for families in need over its 20 year history.
This Year's Recipient - Austin Tschida
The only thing faster than Austin on a racetrack, is the speed that things can change. A rapidly growing tumor on his leg led to a late October '23 diagnosis of aggressive T-Cell Lymphoma. This has redirected all efforts and focus to defeating this foe. His first chemotherapy infusion was in early November. His Oncology Team has a 6 month treatment plan of chemo and then a Stem Cell Transplant.
Austin's career as a Fire Truck Technician involves significant physical activity and also driving. He is unable to perform his work duties, foreseeably through his treatment course. Never being happy with just an "average" challenge, Austin, Aleah, and Ashton welcomed newborn Watson in April!
Proceeds from this year’s event will help to pay for medical expenses that are not covered by insurance, as well as support lost income as Austin continues on his road to recovery.
