Lamondance & Friends Dance Gala

Our annual Silent Auction is an important fundraising event for Lamondance—but never more important than this year. We are committed to the wellbeing of our artists, audience members and to keeping the Arts Alive as the world navigates unprecedented and unsettling times due to COVID-19. Our season will look different this year; we are streaming the performances online. Join us for a season of surprises, the excitement of trying something new, and the possibility of reimagining what Dance can be—all from the comfort of your own space to ensure we are doing our part as we move towards healing and recovery together.

Founded in 2009 in North Vancouver, Lamondance is a Professional Contemporary Training, Apprentice, and Performance Company established for emerging professional dancers. Dancers in the program receive training and mentorship of the highest calibre and experience the realities of what it means to be a member of a professional dance company: preparing and performing in the community, at events, and in our fantastic year-end show. What Lamondance offers emerging dance artists is strong; many Lamondance Alumni have established professional careers at respected dance companies locally, across Canada, the United States, Austria, Brazil, and Germany. All funds raised through our Auction help ensure Lamondance's professional-level training and mentorship, and support scholarship opportunities for emerging young dancers.
