Stand with Immigrant Families: Las Americas IAC

Welcome to our silent auction benefitting Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center! Generous donors from Los Angeles and the Borderland have contributed amazing items, ranging from show tickets, to wine tastings, to artwork and almost everything in between. And the best part is 100% of the proceeds going directly to Las Americas. Our goal is to reach $10,000 to help Las Americas as they continue to represent low income immigrants seeking a path to citizenship and reunification, but remember no bid is too small, and every dollar counts!

Bidders can participate in Online Bidding and/or Live Event Bidding. Online bidding will begin on Friday August 17th at 12pm PST, and live bidding will begin on Friday August 24th at 8pm at the Stand with Immigrant Families event. Both online and live bidding will end promptly at 10pm PST (unless an item receives a bid during the final 3 minutes, then bidding will be extended for that item for increments of 3 minutes (max 30 minute extension).

All sales are final, there will be no exchanges or refunds. All items are "as is", Las Americas has attempted to describe all items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition of the items. If you have a question about any item, we urge you to email us or speak directly to event organizer Lauren Daniels Fischer at the event, prior to making your bid.

The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify amount of deduction.

Las Americas reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction.
Unless otherwise specified, all auction gift certificates must be used within one year of the date of the auction.

Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Las Americas, their elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer(s), the auction company and its agents and employees, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.

Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center is a 31-year old, local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the legal needs of low-income immigrants, including refugees, battered women and LGBTQ+ immigrants seeking asylum.

Las Americas lawyers, staff, and volunteers are committed to providing high-quality legal representation to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Las Americas believes that the "AMERICAN DREAM" should not be for sale but should be accessible to all deserving individuals, regardless of their countries of origin and their financial status.

The Live Bidding will take place at the Stand with Immigrant Families: A Benefit for Las Americas Event on Friday August 24th at 537 Ceres Ave Los Angeles, CA 90013 (Downtown Los Angeles). The silent auction portion of the Live Event will start at 8pm and end promptly at 10pm (unless an item receives a bid during the final 3 minutes, then bidding will be extended for that item for increments of 3 minutes (max 30 minute extension).

All bidding at the Live Event will be done electronically and updated on the site so online bidders may still participate on the night of the event.
