2017 Freedom Center Gala Fundraiser Silent Auction

Michigan Armed Forces Hospitality Center, Inc. (MAFHC) is auctioning some amazing autographed sports memorabilia and a premiere golf package! So, get in early and bid high because you don't want to miss your chance to own:

- an authentic autographed Miguel Cabrera bat;

- a Hockey Stick autographed by Detroit Red Wings legend and NHL Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay;

- an autographed Henrik Zetterberg Jersey signed by multiple Detroit Red Wings; and/or

The online auction will run Monday, October 2, 2017 at 5:00 am (EST) through 5:00 pm (EST) on Monday, October 16, 2017, and will turn into a LIVE silent auction on Wednesday, October 18th, during MAFHC's 2017 Gala Fundraiser at the War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm!

All proceeds from the auction and the Gala will benefit MAFHC's Freedom Centers located at Detroit Metro Airport, serving active military, their dependents, and veterans, and in Troy and Lansing, serving new enlistees and their families.

***IMPORTANT: The highest bid from the online auction will be the STARTING bid at the Gala Fundraiser on October 18th. ***

Bid high online so you don't get beat at the Gala OR we are encouraging all bidders to purchase a ticket to come to the Gala in person and ensure that you can keep your eye on the prize!

To win the auctioned item(s) the winning bid must be the FINAL high bid given at the Gala. If no bid given at the Gala exceeds what was bid online, the online bid will be the winner.

Bids will not be accepted over the phone and online bidding ends October 16th at 5:00 p.m. Your only chance to bid after October 16th at 5:00 pm will be at the Gala's silent auction, upon purchase of a ticket to the Gala.

MAFHC is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, incorporated in the State of Michigan in 2011.

MAFHC's mission is to provide world-class reception and hospitality centers for military personnel. We have two Freedom Centers at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), one in Troy, and one in Lansing.

Our goal is to provide a relaxed, home-like atmosphere that embraces and meets the needs of traveling service members and their families. These facilities are supported and staffed by individual volunteers and organizations from surrounding communities and the airport. Our doors are open to individuals on active duty, National Guard members, reservists, and service academy cadets. We also welcome military dependents, military retirees and veterans.

To date, we have served almost 390,000 active military personnel, their dependents, and veterans at all four Freedom Centers. Currently we average serving over 7,000 guests a month at just our two DTW Freedom Centers alone.

In addition to our DTW Freedom Centers, our Freedom Centers in Troy and Lansing help serve enlistees and their families during the enlistment and swearing-in process.

Our Freedom Centers retain their relaxed, home-like atmospheres that embrace and meet the needs of traveling service members and their families, through generous monetary and in-kind donations.
