Inspired by the place mooncake tins hold as treasure boxes of small keepsakes to preserve memories and wishes, Think!Chinatown has asked our community of artists to use mooncake boxes as the starting point for new works of art dedicated to this spirit.

Think!Chinatown projects sit at the cross-section of civic & neighborhood engagement, storytelling, and the arts. It’s hard to categorize our work sometimes, but whatever we’re working on… it’s to support what we love about Chinatown! We amplify the voices of our neighbors & advocate for equity in resources for Chinatown. We honor histories that represent us & value inter-generational learning. Learn about our multi-media oral history projects, cultural classes & talks. We present grassroots arts of Chinatown & give context to emerging Asian-American artists.
