Mutual Aid Auction

Last spring, our friend Kholoud Balata, a brilliant writer, fled Gaza with her husband, Adnan Afana. While they have now settled in the US, where Kholoud was awarded a scholarship for graduate study, both Kholoud and Adnan had to leave their parents and siblings behind due to insufficient funds to pay the exorbitant evacuation fees. A week after Kholoud and Adnan escaped, Rafah was invaded and the border closed, sealing the Balata and Afana families in. Both families urgently need funds to help them secure the basic necessities they need to survive.
