About Norfolk Chamber Music Festival

The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival – Yale Summer School of Music provides opportunities for the most talented young instrumentalists, singers, and composers from around the world to collaborate with internationally acclaimed musicians in great performances exploring traditional and contemporary chamber music repertoire. With a musical tradition dating back to the 1890s, to the construction of the Music Shed in 1906 and the establishment of the Festival in 1941, the Ellen Battel Stoeckel Estate remains an important destination for performers and concertgoers alike. Through our concerts at the Music Shed, we are proud to bring world-class performances to historic Norfolk, CT – and to your home via livestream!

“My summer at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival was a special and memorable experience. I found inspiration from so much that summer: the faculty, my colleagues, and the beautiful scenery. I will always look back upon my time at Norfolk fondly.”

-Andy Sledge, NCMF ’19, bassoon
