NWRESD Foundation Fundraising GALA

Donations raised at this Gala event will be used to fund mini-grants to serve our special needs children ages birth to 21 in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook and Washington counties. During the 2019-20 school year, the Foundation awarded more than $28,000. Since 2006, the Northwest Regional ESD Foundation has awarded more than 450 grants totaling more than $425,000 towards making a difference in the lives of young children, students and their families. In addition, the foundation is grateful to have received $300,000 from local foundations that share our mission.

Past grants have funded a horticultural therapy project for adjudicated young men, audio books, child care for parent training workshops, mindfulness and yoga curriculum for special needs preschoolers, accessible playground, sensory tools for students with mental health needs, assistive technology for students with alternate communication needs, sports equipment and uniforms, bicycles for a high school transition program and adaptive equipment for children with disabilities.
